In America, we don't have a growing economy. We don't have jobs being created at a replacement level for those we had lost. We don't have anything Obama said. He lied about the cost of premiums coming down.
Obama administration didn't have one person who had ever worked in business. Not one Obama cabinet member had ever seriously had a job, run a company, met a payroll in the American economy. And, as such, no way of understanding how business is done, from negotiations to any other aspect of it. In fact, people in Obama's cabinet were arrogant and condescending and looking down on those people as a bunch of shysters and a bunch of cheats and people that kill their customers and they're destroying the planet.
Barack Obama thinks he's universally loved and adored because of that approval rating, which is a lie or a misrepresentation. It's mainly people that don't have the guts to tell a pollster that they disapprove of the job because of the racial component, because whenever Obama's policies are on the ballot, they get skunked! If he's on ballot with them, not so bad.
Who in the world wants to run a country where the new norm is one where there are no jobs?
The left has done a very admirably good job of demonizing the private sector, where what happens? Cheating, lying, dishonesty, destroying the planet, killing customers, starving people. And they've positioned themselves, of course, as the great compassionate last hope. They're the ones who truly care. We're not supposed to examine the results of their efforts, which are always dismal and always fail. We're supposed to examine their good intentions.
Isn't protecting our legal citizens from an invading army of illegal aliens who are using our services and taking our jobs, isn't that a basic notion of fairness? Isn't that in the Constitution? Where is the fairness to American citizens here?
Dennis has not behaved well and the fact he has taken it with bad grace shows we made the right decision. It smacks of sour grapes. He said he would be happy to continue playing as long as the new manager wanted him so in no way was he misled. He said he was assured the job was his, but that is simply not true.
I think I've done a pretty fantastic job, but of course I want to sell millions of records.
Wouldn't Ponochio II be a great musical, now that he has to face the real world and get a wife... job. Now he wants to be a toy again.
I'm lucky not to have a nine-to-five job.
I was also thinking that I only had a certain amount of time to make music and to spend it in that city. And everybody else... you know the story 'Oh, New York it's such a great place, but it's so expensive to live here and there's so much to do.' You go there for inspiration and you end up getting a job to pay bills. I thought I must fight that at all costs.
The way to create jobs is to encourage private sector job creators.
Electric service providers in Missouri have warned that the EPA's so-called Clean Power Plan will raise energy costs for Missourians, reduce jobs, and hurt our state's economic competitiveness. As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, I've fought hard to ensure provisions that would defund this harmful power grab were included in the final appropriations bill. I also support legislation to block this harmful rule and protect workers and families from the damaging effects of the Obama Administration's executive overreach and costly energy regulations.
The problem with Maigret is he hasn't got a limp, and he hasn't got a lisp, and he hasn't got a French accent, or a particular love of opera... or all those other things that people tend to attach to many fictional detectives. He's just an ordinary guy doing an extraordinary job, in a very interesting time.
The job is interesting, and the task is difficult, but the man [Maigret] is just a decent man doing a very ordinary job.
I suddenly think the job of acting is a difficult one. It's not as flip, irrelevant and shallow a calling as I thought it was in the Eighties.
If you want to succeed at any job, make yourself invaluable. Go the extra mile; make them never be able to imagine what life without you there would be like.
My job is mostly to entertain and be funny.
There are the jobs you get that do something for your confidence, like "I can do this with my life" kind of thing. And then, there are the jobs that maybe bring a certain level of awareness about you as an actor where other people feel like they can hire you.
It’s a job. It’s not a hobby. You don’t write the way you build a model airplane. You have to sit down and work, to schedule your time and stick to it. Even if it’s just for an hour or so each day, you have to get a babysitter and make the time. If you’re going to make writing succeed you have to approach it as a job.
It's not really the job of a public servant to inspire, but to get the job that the people demand done. The Democrats think that if they have hope and are inspired, things will get better, but they actually won't.
It is so important to remember that, while I love my job, there are other fantastic avenues to explore in my life.
A guy friend I was speaking to said he was talking to a group of male producersand he was just shocked that they said, "But if we give women directors a job they're going to take jobs away from the men." I almost fell out of my chair. But when I encounter this kind of thing, what I try to do is give a chiropractic adjustment to the mind, quickly.
I think it's important to keep an element of fear about yourself because it makes you appreciate the jobs.
My job isn't to go around judging people. Priests are meant to teach love and forgiveness. That to me is the essence of being a Christian. And trying to find that love and forgiveness in ourselves and others every day should be a challenge that we want to achieve.
